Shishapangma Expedition (Tibet Side)

Shishapagma, famously known as ‘Gosainthan ‘ which denotes ‘the holy place’, is a mountain located in China elevating 8,027m above from sea level. The Tibetan name for the same peak is Xixapagma meaning ‘the mountain overlooking the grassy plains’ and holds great holy value. It is the fourteenth highest peak in the world and highest peak in the Langtang Himal. It is located entirely in the Tibet and lies in north direction from Kathmandu valley Unlike, Cho-oyu, Shishpagma is also among the hard grade climbing with snow and ice climb.
The four days drive will take us to the first camp from Naylam. The North West i.e. the normal route is followed to reach the summit. The Chinese Base camp elevates to 520m. There all three camps that follow the Chinese base camp and ultimately the summit of Shishapagma.
The best month for this expedition is March to June.
