Annapurna Base Camp & Circuit Trek is the longest possible itinerary which covers almost entire Annapurna region many of which falls in ACAP(Annapurna Conservation Area Prjoect). You will have to trek for about 25 days which would exhaust you physically but will inspire you mentally. As you walk along the trails the diversified culture of the ethnic people living in this region and their friendly nature will make you feel like you are one of them. Overview of  Annapurna Base Camp Trek

If you are looking for a difficult and vigorous trekking trail then Annapurna Base Camp & Circuit Trek is the perfect match for those who push themselves to their limit. Almost all of the trails which fall in Annapurna region are profoundly life changing experience with this one not being an exception. Annapurna region has always enchanted the people who actually enjoy hiking and trekking and wants get involved with nature in a way that will give them privilege of being cut off from the mechanical world they belonged to. This region and especially ABC(Annapurna Base Camp) and circuit in particular was once rated as the top ten holiday destination in the world by Lonely Planet.

ABC and Circuit trail is one of the highest receivers of trekkers from around the globe in Nepal and definitely rates among top ten in all Asia and Indian Sub continent. As Nepal is sandwich between two giant Nations with India bordering in east west and south and Tibet (now occupied by China) in the north. This trail was not developed in short period of time in fact it goes way back in time. Historically this trial used to be the official trading route between Tibet and India via Nepal back in those days. Even today you can see people using these routes for travelling and trading purposes. It has a great historical and cultural significance.

Beside historical part you will also come face to face with culture that seems alien to western and European culture. As you know that Nepal is ethnically and culturally diverse country. The diversity with high density in such a small area is itself unbelievable. Even such a diverse culture concentrated in such a small area and still living harmoniously speaks of one single thing Unity in diversity. As you walk through the trails you will see such numerous examples when you learn and experience it by yourself.

This is the unique and one of the longest trail you will ever find in this region because it covers both ABC(Annapurna Base Camp) and Annapurna Circuit via Thorong la Pass. This trail gives you some extra thrill as you go through some of the iconic places of the trail such as Ghandruk, Ghorepani, Thorang phedi etc. In the mean the beauty of the majestic Himalayas such Annapurna I-IV, NIlgiri, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre will for sure take your breath away.

Annapurna Base Camp and Circuit trekking is ranked as one of the best trekking route in the world. For any hikers and trekkers this is the most sought trekking.  It gives a very unique trekking experience that can’t be obtained from other normal trekking. This is an extensive trekking journey which revolves around Annapurna region and reaches to the maximum of height of nearly 5500 meter, Annapurna Base Camp.   Since it’s inception before 45 years its popularity is growing every day.

This trekcircumambulates around the entire Annapurna massif reaching the highest point at Thorong La Pass (5,416m/17,769ft). Experience the thrill of walking through world's deepest river valley Kali Gandaki Gorge, with Annapurna I rising to 8091m to the east and Dhaulagiri standing at 8167m to the west. Traverse the highest pass, Thorong La on the way from Manang to Muktinath,savor the fabulous mountain views from the summit of Poon Hill at 3,210m (10,531ft). Get in mix with more than ten different culturally rich ethnic groups that reside in different climate zones of Annapurna Circuit. We travel from a height of 800 meters to the high altitude of 5, 416 meters passing through a diverse geographical and cultural variation with an amazing range of flora and fauna in between.

This trek start from Besishahar6  hours’drive by bus from Kathmandu.The trek follows the route of Kathmandu- Synge- Dharapani- Chame- Pisang- Manang- Yak Kharka- TorangPhedi- Muktinath and jomsom.  Along the way, you get to see the crimson red rhododendron forest, majestic  high mountains Annapurna, Machhapuchre and Dhaulagiri, chilling waterfalls, diverse culture and people, wide variety of flora and fauna.

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu

Our staff will meet you at the airport and drop you off in a hotel to spend your first night in Kathmandu. Your guide will be there to meet you and will explain you briefly about the trip.

Day 02 Drive from Kathmandu to Besishahar and trek to Bhulbule(840m)

It will be a drive for about 6-7 hours drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar. Today most of your day will be spent travelling in private vehicle. On your arrival in Bhulbule your guide will arrange a lodge to spend the night.

Day 03 Bhulbule to Ghyarmuphant(1100m)

After an early breakfast you will head towards Bahundanda crossing Marshyangdi river on couple of occasions. After reaching Bahundanda you will then walk downhill towards Ghyarmuphant. Overnight at lodge.

Day 04 Ghyarmuphant to Chamje(1430m)

On your 3rd day you will walk up steep trail on different occasions until you reach Jagat where you probably going to have lunch. After your lunch you will follow the trail along the river Marshyangdi all the way to Chamje to spend the night in a lodge.

Day 05 Chamje to Dharapani(1920m)

Just like yesterday your trail continues along the shore ff Marshyangdi river. You will have to cross the river via suspension bridge for couple of times until you reach Dharapani. Your guide will arrange a lodge for to stay for the night.

Day 06 Dharapani to Chame(2630m)

Today you will continue the trail westwards towards Manang valley following the same trail alongside Marshyangdi river. You will get a glimpse of Annapurna I and II on your way to Chame. Overnight at lodge.

Day 07 Chame to Pisang(3200m)

You will trek northwards to the village of Bharatang in an easy trail; from here the trail will be very steep and narrow going through dense forest for quite some time. The trail then continues towards Westside to the village of Pisang. Overnight at lodge.

Day 08 Pisang to Ghyaru(3670m)

On your 7th day you will trek towards Ghyaru through upper Pisang trial. Staying in pisang overnight will help you acclimatize with high altitude. Overnight at lodge.

Day 09 Ghyaru to Manang(3500m)

You will continue your trail southwards to Manang. Generally trekkers stay a day in Manang to get acclimatize but not in this case as you will have already stayed in an altitude higher than Manang. Overnight at lodge.

Day 10 Manang to Yakkharka(4090m)

You will continue steadily and slowly upwards to Gunsang. Now you will be entering alpine climatic condition with very little trees. Now you will feel the drop in oxygen level. Your guide will arrange a lodge and will serve you nice hot and nutritious soup in dinner.

Day11 Yakkharka to Thorangphedi(4450m)

Today we continue our trek from Yakkharka to a small village of ledar. From there onwards you move on upwards along the bank of Jarsanga Khola only to find a steep uphill climb just before reaching Throngphedi. Overnight at lodge.

Day12 Thorangphedi to Muktinath(3800m) via Thorangla pass(5416m)

Finally today you will be reaching the highest point of trek Thorang la(5416m). Today you will be starting very early probably at 4 30 am in the morning because today you have to cover the longest distance which would probably take 8-9 hours before reaching Muktinath. You will have a packed lunch and eat it on your way. You will have a 30 minutes break at the highest point and you don’t want to miss clicking some photos which all of the trekkers do reaching the highest point. And then we slowly descend 1600 below to Muktinath where you will be spending the night.

Day 13 Muktinath to Kagbeni(2800m)

Before you leave Muktinath you will be visiting Muktinath temple which is highly revered by Hindus and Buddhists alike. After visiting temple you will rapidly descend to Kali Gandaki valley and then continue towards Kagbeni. It will take you 5-6 hours to reach there. Overnight at lodge.

Day 14 kagbeni to Marpha(2590m)

Today you will be going along the shore of Kali Gandaki river. On your way you will see the district headquarter of Mustang, Jomsom with lots of historical museum and monasteries. Finally at the end of the day you will reach Marpha otherwise known as Apple village because everywhere you will see apple trees. Your guide will arrange a lodge for you to stay for the night.

Day15 Marpha to Ghasa(2010m)

Day 14 will also be the same kind of trail which is going along the bank of river Kali Gandaki. You will see plenty of Chorten and small monasteries on your way to Ghasa. You can offer some prayer if you want to. Overnight at lodge.

Day 16 Ghasa to Tatopani(1190m)

As you walk through the trails you will see the deepest gorges of the world, Kali Gandaki gorge before reaching Tatopani. On reaching Tatopani your guide will arrange a lodge to spend the night.

Day 17 Tatopani to Ghorepani(2800m)

On your 15th day you will continue upwards on a stone paved trails all the to Ghorepani. You will be going through some of the wonderful villages such as Shikha with lots of cultural things to learn. It will take you 5-6 hours to reach Ghorepani. Overnight at lodge.

Day 18 Ghorepani to Punhill viewpoint(3210m) to Tadapani(2600m)

You will wake up early before the sunrise because you do not want to miss the view os sunrise and panoramic view of the Annapurna I-IV, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri etc. it is just 30-45 minutes hike through well paved stone stairs. After the view of sunrise from the Punhill view point you will head straight back to lodge for breakfast and move on towards Tadapni where you will be spending your 16th night.

Day 19 Tadapani to Chhomrong(2170m)

As we hike downhill and uphill, you will be pretty amazed to see the panoramic view of Annapurna South, Machhepuchhre(Fishtail), HUinchuli, Gangapurna etc. Today’s trail is relatively easier one with some uphill and downhill trail on some of the occasions.

Day 20 Chhomrona to Bamboo(2340m)

You will take the trail with 25oo stone steps and cross the suspension hung above Chhomrong river. It will take you 4-5 hours to reach Bamboo. You will be given room in a lodge to spend the night.

Day 21 Bamboo to Deurali(3230m)

At the start of the day you will be going through the bamboo forest which is damp and cold. After walking out of the forest you will see astounding view of glacial river below. As you move on you come closer to the river from where there a steep uphill climb before reaching Deurali. Overnight at lodge.

Day 22 Deurali to ABC(Annapurna Base Camp 4130m)

Today you will reach another important point of your trek ABC(Annapurna Base Camp) via Machhapuchhere base camp. You will again see the forest and vegetation disappearing as you trek higher to ABC. During your walk you will see Annapurna I and II Machhapuchhere with its top shaped like Fish tail, Gandarvachuli and Gangapurna. ABC or inother words Annapurna Sanctuary offers you 360 degree majestic view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri Machhupuchhre and its ranges.

Day 23 ABC (Annapurna Base Camp) to Bamboo

Today your entire trail will be downhill, you will take the same trail you took it a day before. Going downhill will not be strenuous for you besides you will be seeing some magnificent views of the mountains as you walk down to Bambo. You will be arranged a room in a lodge to spend the night.

Day 24 Bamboo to Jhinu Danda(1760m)

For the first few hours it will be an uphill trek till Kuldighar and again downhill trek to Chhomrong River. After crossing the river you will take the trail that will lead you to Jhinu danda where you will spend the night.

Day 25 Jhinu Danda to Nayapool(1070m)and drive to Pokhara(850m)

Today is the last day of your walk. You will trek to Nayapool which normally takes 3-4hours. After reaching Nayapool you will be then driven off to Pokhara to spend the night inone of the deluxe hotel.

Day 26 Drive back to Kathmandu(1350m

You trek is over and today you will be heading back to Kathmandu on a tourist bus. It will take you 5-6 hours to reach Kathmandu. By afternoon time you will be there at Kathmandu and can spend the afternoon going for shopping or perhaps hanging out in a coolest bar of Thamel.

Day 27 Departure from Kathmandu

This is it the end of your journey. You will be leaving Nepal with loads of unforgettable memories to be shared. Our staff member will drop you off at the airport with just enough time to catch your flight.
