Cho Oyu Expeditions

Mt Cho Oyu is the sixth highest mountain residing on the border of Nepal and Tibet plains. The first ascenders of Mt Cho-oyu were Pasang Dawa Lama, Herbert Tichy and Joseph Jochler on 19th October 1954. The height of this peak is 8188 m and often an expedition destination for mountains fanatics. The meaning of Cho-oyu in Tibet is ‘Turquoise Goddess ’.The trek shall start from the Tibet side.

The Cho-oye expedition is likely to start from Thiring, From Thiring the trekking starts along with three camps in varying heights and huge snow fields Once we reach the summit we shall see magnificent ranges of mountains being Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Chamlang, Ana Dablam and many other mountains residing in Khumbu region.

Many people claim that it is an easy climbing route among the mountains over 8000m height and can be attractive trekking for inexpert climbers and one with limited time. After 80’s it was the second expedition attraction after Everest.

The best season to take this expedition is during spring and autumn. It is suitable for the experienced mountaineers or mountaineers without any firsthand experience.

Drive form Kathmandu to Kodari

Drive from Kodari to Nyalam

Day 03:

Drive from Nyalam to Thingri

At Thingri - Rest Day

Day 05:

Drive from Thingri to Choyo Base Camp.

Day 06-10:

Have to Stay at Thingri (Middle Point) and wait for Yak for Transportation for Load.

Day 11:

Trek form Middle Point to Choyo Base Camp(Last Point)

Day 11-41

1 Month we will be making Camp 1- Height, Camp 2- Height, Camp 3- Height-

Day 42:

Trek fom Choyo Base Camp(Last point) to Nyalam

Day 43:

Drive form Nyalam to Kathmandu
