Kanchanjunga Trek from Northern Side

Kachenjunga (8586 m) is the third highest mountain in the world a. lying on the Nepal - Sikkim borders, the lush landscape of the Kanchenjunga; environment for musk beer, blue sheep and the infamous yeti. Few westerners have traveled to Kanchenjunga, regarded as the 'Queen of the great Himalayas', encompasses the r South Peak (8491m), Central Peak (8478m), and Main Peak (8556m), Yalung Kang, Kambac stretches southward from Jonsang La to Langpo Peak, Pyramid Peak, and Nepal Peak - all or continues further from Talung Peak and Kabru North and South Peaks to the Twin Peak Kokthan. To the west of Jonsang La, on Tibet's borders, are Jongsang Peak, Outlier, Lashar, ClKangri. Further south lie Nupchu and Sharpu. This, then, is the Kangchenjunga Region, which is "GREAT SNOW MOUNTAIN OF FIVE TREASURES".

The trek to Kanchenjunga is a long course and offers one of the best high altitude trekking famous peaks of eastern Nepal as Kanchenjunga and mysterious Jannu via the enormous Yale allows a trip to Lamsang La and Kanchenjunga glacier. The view of Kanchenjunga range a (8556m) the third highest in the world, from the north base camp is simply breathtaking and i the north face of Jannu, a worthy destination itself. The trail goes from the Sub Tropical k Yalung Glacier 5000 m, enable the trekkers to experience a diverse cross section of topography and fauna and flora. Set in a remote wilderness, inhabited by a few nomadic yak herders, this region has adventurous trekkers who are looking for something different.

We will fly from KTM to Suketar airfield of Taplejung district. From Suketar we will began oc route alone a ridge top towards the Tamor River where we will enjoy panoramic views of the Chamlung(24000') peaks. We will continue through forests and rhododendron thicket Kanchenjunga range will arrear. Our route will continue up the Tamor river through the Lin terraced mountainside village of Amjilassa and the legendry Sherpa village of Ghunsa(11400') monastery there and soon have our first glimpse of a sea of unclimbed peaks including the Jane as a "mystery peak" or "Terror". We will trek to the edge of the Kanchenjunga glacier and lateral moraine; we will cut across at this junction and arrive at our campsite at Lhonak and of unspeakable beauty.

Arrival Kathmandu (1310m), Welcoming by Himalayan Wander member and direct transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu

Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley over night at hotel

Day 03:

Flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar overnight at Hotel

Day 04:

Drive to Taplejung (2,420m) by Local Bus overnight at Lodge

Day 05:

Trek to Chhirwa (1,185m) overnight at tea house

Day 06:

Trek to Sekathum (1,650m) overnight at tea house

Day 07:

Trek to Gyabla (2,725m) overnight at tea house

Day 08:

Trek to Ghunsa (3,415m) overnight at tea house

Day 09:

Rest Day for acclimatization visit monastery around Ghunsa hours overnight at tea house

Day 10:

Trek to Khambachen (4,145m) overnight at tea house

Day 11:

Trek to Lhonak (4,792m) overnight at tea house

Day 12:

Early morning hike to kanchanjunga Base camp (5,140m) See the incredible of Mount Kanchanjunga, Nepal Peak, Dromo Peak, KiratChuli, Kangbachen, many etc. Then back to Ihonak (4,792m) overnight at tea house.

Day 13:

Trek to Ghunsa (3,415m) overnight at tea house

Day 14:

Trek to Selele (4,200m) overnight at tea house

Day 15:

Trek to Tseram (3,868m) via Miring-la (4,645m) Sinlapche pass (4,645m) this day quiet challenging day due to High pass overnight at tea house

Day 16:

Trek to Ramche (4,610m) overnight at tea house

Day 17:

Trek visit to Oktang Temple, Glacier (4,740m) see the incredible view of Mount Kabru, Kanchanjunga, yalungkang, Kumbakarna many etc. Trek back to Tseram (3,868m) overnight at camp

Day 18:

Trek to Torongten (2,980m) overnight at tea house

Day 19:

Trek to Sherpa gaun (1,792m) overnight at tea house

Day 20:

Trek to Phumpe Dada (1,860m) overnight at tea house

Day 21:

Trek to Kheywang overnight at tea house

Day 22:

Trek to Khamding overnight at tea house

Day 23:

Drive to Birtamod overnight at Lodge

Day 24:

Fly back to Kathmandu
