Pumori Expedition

Pumori peak one of the most popular peaks elevates up to 7161 m which is located in Upper Khumbu region of Nepal and Tibet border. The mountain was named ‘Pumori’ by George Leigh Maltory, allegedly means “Unmarried Daughter” in Sherpa language. Pumori was first attempted by German-Swiss expedition in the year 1964. Pumori Expedition is only for the experienced climbers due to high degree of plight in climbing. Mt. Pumori can be center of attraction to many aspiring climbers willing to climb Mt. Everest in near future. During the expedition, mountains like Everest and Lhotse can be discovered. The climbing is often initiated from South-East ridge. The best month for the expedition is in between April to May and September to November.
Grade: Moderate Technical Climbing.
Overview of Mt.Baruntse Expedition:
Mt. Baruntse (7129 m) lies in Khumbu region-the Eastern part of Nepal which clams itself between Mt .Everest and Makalu. First attempt of climbing through South – East Ridge was made by Colin Todd Geoff Harrow in 30th May, 1954.Since then, many ascenders have reached the summit via same route. It is best possible trekking peak for higher climbing due to easy access. Once reaching the summit ascenders will be rewarded with magnificent view of Lhotse, Everest and Makalu  The South-East ridge is however difficult due to risk of avalanche and its 50 degree elevation with distingue scarp. The best season is spring with favorable weather; however, this expedition can be concluded in autumn seas as well.
