Classic Everest Trek is specially for average or beginner level trekkers  who have a little experience of hiking and trekking  hence it is graded as moderate one. But of course you have to go through rocky terrain uphill and downhill which wouldn’t push you to your limit. One thing is for sure you will enjoy its breathtaking beauty as much as of those who goes further high.

 

Overview 

This is a perfect trail for those who wish to enjoy the sheer beauty of the Everest avoiding the dangers of altitude sickness. Everest and its region has always enchanted tourist who flock every year in thousands. Its sublime view in all its majesty and its classical beauty which has remain unchanged, ever since humans started exploring the wonders of the natural world. In fact very few people would reject to grasp this ideal opportunity to embark on a journey that would rock you to the core. Since the time immemorial the Sherpa people have dwelled the landscapes of this region defying the harsh upbringing against all odds. Any people in the world today can only imagine how they have evolved over the period of time to be the people we know them today. Their red blood cells(RBC) are high in hemoglobin which gives them that extra edge over others to cope with high altitude. In fact these are the person who represents Nepal as one of the most vibrant ethnic groups of Nepal. Researchers from the western world have done numerous and extensive study on these unique ethnic groups than any other in Nepal. Their simplicity, loyalty, hospitality and helpful nature has astound the people all over the world, which is something that you don’t find in the western society. It is because of the qualities of these people that have inspired many western and European intellectuals to write about them.

Sherpa have been a brand ambassador of Trekking and mountaineering industry in Nepal. They are the ones to establish this industry and bring it on to the mainstream economy of Nepal which almost accounts for more than 50 percent of total foreign revenue of Nepal. Since that first successful historical expedition in 1953 trekking and mountaineering industry have gone on to become multimillion dollar industry and all of the credit goes to the single ethnic group  of Nepal “the Sherpa”

Like many other treks in khumbu region, the starting point of this trek remains same i.e. Lukla. Basically it’s a short  trek which only includes 6 days of hike during your entire trek. The main goal of this trek is to get you as near as possible to see the marvelous beauty of the mountains avoiding the hazardous effects of altitude sickness. It is for those people who are not used to walking at high altitudes and yet are willing to discover the top of the world. The focal point of this trek would be Namche Bazar and Tengboche where you can see. This little downtown of khumbu region(Namche Bazar) is just situated at an altitude of 3440m. There are plenty of restaurants and lodges which has Chinese and continental dishes in their menus. Tengboche monastery, the oldest of them all also falls in this region. Those who are interested in Buddhists philosophy would really love to be there.

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu international airport

Our member will be there to greet you at the airport with big smile on their face. They will then transfer you in a private van/car to your accommodation in one of the star hotels of Kathmandu. You are free for the evening and can spend your time at your will. Your guide will be there to brief you about your whole trek. You will spend the night in the hotel and get ready for action ahead.

Day 02 fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding(2610m)

You will take a short flight in a small plane form Kathmandu domestic airport terminal to Lukla. On your first day you will trek for about 2-3 hours and reach to Phakding where you will be spending your first night of your trek.

Day 03 Phakding to Namche Bazar(3440m)

On your 3rd day you will be trekking through the dense and green pine forest going north up to the valley of Benkar. On your way you can see the Dudh koshi river while we trek along its shore. After some time we will enter Sagarmatha National Park. It will take about 5-6 hours until we reach Namche Bazar. Our crew member will arrange a nice little lodge for you to spend the night.

Day 04 Acclimatization day in Namche Bazar

We want to take all the preventive measure that would ruin your whole trip, so day 04 will be your day to get yourself acclimatize with low oxygen level. However there will be plenty more activities on this day. Our guide will take you on a walk and help you better understand the people and their ways of living in this region. You will be spending the night in the same lodge you checked in the day before.

Day 05 Namche Bazar to Tengboche(3860m)

Perhaps day 5 will be the day you reach the highest point in your entire trek. You can notice the change in surrounding due to the change in altitude. You will one of the main highlights of your journey today “The Tengboche Monastery” and of course while you see this ancient monastery and history related with it, you can also enjoy the excellent view of Mt.Everest, Mt.Lhotse Mt.Amadablam etc. the total duration on this day will be about 5-6 hours. You might be fatigued after your walk all day and willing to get into bed in a lodge to get a good sleep.

Day 06 Tengboche to Jorsale(2800m)

Now you are almost at the end of your trek. You will trek downhill for about 5-6 hours descending nearly 1040m. While you trek downhill you can start seeing dense forest with tall pine trees. Jorsale is a small village situated west side of Dudh koshi river You can hear the roar of Dudhkoshi River flowing down with immense power. Overnight at lodge.

Day 07 Jorsale to Lukla(2840m)

Today will be the end of your remarkable trek and relatively easier one. Most part of your trek will be on a plain rocky terrain. It will not take you too long to reach the point where it all started. You might get a little surprise but what kind of should be kept secret. Our crew will settle you in a lodge for the very last time.
